La proposition de Guattari ne semble pas avoir été retenue.

Godard dit la meme chose : pourquoi ne pas payer les gens qui écoutent la télévision, au lieu de les faire payer, puisqu’ils fournissent un véritable travail et remplissent à leur tour un service public? La division sociale du travail implique bien que, dans une usine, soient payés le travail d’atelier, mais aussi celui des bureaux et celui del laboratoires de recherche… »
